    An online notary, also known as a remote notary or virtual notary, is a notary public who is authorized to perform notarizations over the internet via audio-visual technology. This process is commonly referred to as Remote Online Notarization (RON). Online notaries can remotely notarize documents for individuals who are not physically present with them, providing a convenient and accessible alternative to traditional in-person notarizations.
  • How Your Remote Online Notarization Will Work:
    × Payment & documents must be received 24 hours in advance of the signing. Use the “Click Here” link below for a quote and to submit documents. × Test your computer, camera, microphone, browser, and internet at least 3 hours prior to your signing.   • What is A Digital Signature Signing with Video Confirmation?
    A digital signature signing with video confirmation involves the use of a digital signature during a signing process that includes real-time video verification. The video confirmation provides extra security and assurance level. It provides additional evidence as to who was behind the devise/keyboard in the signing process which will help in case of future dispute.
  • Are Online Notary Services Legal?
    Certainly. Online notarization is legally permissible in most states. Nevertheless, it is advisable to confirm with the document creator or end user before initiating the online notarization process to ensure that the document is suitable for execution through online notarization. Specifically, online notarial acts performed in Maryland will generally be recognized by other states, including the few states that have not yet adopted RON law. While other state’s requirements may vary, established precedents have set forth that notarial acts carried out and in compliance with applicable state RON law can be recognized as valid across state lines.
  • How Are Documents Secured During the Online Signing Process?

  • How Will My Identity Be Verified Online?
    SNG Mobile Notary Services℠ LLC uses a Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) process and Credential Analysis (facial recognition) to validate your identity. The KBA will ask you five security questions based on your social security number, credit report and state issued ID. Signers must be a U.S citizen and have a U.S state or territory issued Driver’s License or a pictured State ID; a US Passport or US Passport Card; or a Consular ID. Signers must pass both the KBA and Credential Analysis.
  • Do I Have to Be in My State to Use Online Notary Services?
    No. You can generally use our online notary services regardless of your physical location. While the Notary Public must operate within their state, you can be situated anywhere (including overseas) to work with our Notary. Provide the necessary documents for notarization, and take advantage of SNG Mobile Notary Services℠ LLC online, no matter where you are.
  • How is a Document Signed?
    The individual signs them document electronically using a digital signature. This electronic signature is typically applied through a secure online platform. Notary's Electronic Seal and Signature: If the document meets the criteria for notarization, the online notary applies their electronic notary seal and signature to the document electronically. Notary Certificate: The online notary provides a notary certificate, which attests that the document has been notarized.
  • How Do I Download The Notarized Document?
    Once the document is notarized, you will receive an email notifying you that the document is available for download. Subsequently, you can review the document to ensure proper notarization.
